What is an orthosis?
An orthosis is an orthopedic device used to:
At IAMOP each patient is evaluated by a certified practitioner for prescription, discription, design consideration based on height, weight, degree of deformity, degree of correction an orthoses will provide are all discussed with patient or care givers.
Patients are shown sample devices prescribed for them. Once design criteria has been formulated the device is fabricated in our own laboratory.
IAMOP offers specialized programs for Stroke, Polio, M.S. Spinalcord, M.D. Neuromuscular Trauma Pathologies and Pediatrics.

Conditions requiring orthotic intervention.
Musculoskeletal Conditions ,affect muscles, boney skeleton, ligaments or tendons.
Neuro Muscular Conditions ,affect the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves and directly affect muscles.
Post Surgical Conditions ,support and immobilize a surgical procedure.
The practitioners at IAMOP evaluate patients for diagnosis specific orthoses, realizing that each patient is unique and what may work on one patient may not work on the next. The practitioner will ask patients about their goals and formulate an orthotic management program that will assist the patient to acheive that goal.
